COVID-19 Policy

Social Distancing.  To ensure staff members comply with physical distancing requirements, we will implement the following:


  • We will ensure 6 ft. distances between staff, unless safety or core function of the work activity requires a closer distance. If staff members are working closer than 6 ft. apart, a mask or facial covering will be provided.

  • We will instruct only one person to occupy tightly confined spaces at a time, unless everyone is wearing face coverings.

  • We will limit in-person gatherings as much as possible and use webinar or phone conferencing whenever possible. Essential in-person gatherings (e.g. meetings) should be held in open, well-ventilated spaces with appropriate social distancing among participants.

  • We will rearrange or mark off tables so that customers can clearly identify the 6 ft. social distancing rule. In addition, we will move or rearrange seating to ensure groups are 10 people are less.

  • We will operate at a maximum of 50% capacity.

Screenings. To ensure our business and staff members comply with health screening requirements, we will do the following:

  • Implement mandatory health screening assessment (e.g. questionnaire, temperature checks, etc.) before staff members begin each shift each day, asking about:

  1. Displaying any COVID-19 symptoms in past 14 days

  2. Received a confirmed positive COVID-19 test in past 14 days

  3. Been in close contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case in past 14 days

  • If a staff member has shown any symptoms or isn’t feeling well, they will be sent home until fever or symptom free for at least 24 hours.

Protective Equipment. To ensure staff members comply with protective equipment requirements, we will do the following:

  • We will make available to staff members acceptable face covering or masks at no-cost to our staff and have an adequate supply of coverings in case of replacement.

  • We will limit the sharing of objects and discourage touching of shared surfaces; or, when in contact with shared objects or frequently touched areas, wear gloves or wash hands or use hand sanitizer before and after contact.

  • We will ensure that staff members have adequate cleaning and sanitizing supplies available to them for use during their shifts.

Hygiene and Cleaning. To ensure staff members comply with hygiene and cleaning requirements, we will do the following:

  • Provide and maintain hand hygiene stations for staff members to include hand soap, water, and paper towels, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing 60% or more alcohol for areas where hand washing is not available.

  • Conduct regular cleaning and disinfection at least after every shift, daily, or more frequently as needed, and frequent cleaning and disinfection of shared objects (e.g. tools, machinery) and surfaces, as well as high transit areas, such as restrooms and common areas, must be completed.

  • We will designate a cleaning/safety staff member for each shift, who will be responsible for ensuring that high touch surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized.

  • We will record and maintain a log of cleaning and sanitizing, requiring the cleaning/safety staff member to sign off after each time, and ensure that the manager signs off at the end of each day.

Communication. To ensure our business complies with communication requirements, we will do the following:

  • Post signage throughout the winery and tasting room areas to remind staff members to adhere to proper hygiene, social distancing rules, appropriate use of PPE, and cleaning and disinfecting protocols. 

  • Establish a communication plan for staff members and customers with a consistent means to provide updated information.

  • If a staff member tests positive for COVID-19, we will immediately notify state and local health departments and cooperate with contact tracing efforts, including notification of potential contacts, such as workers or visitors who had close contact with the individual, while maintaining confidentiality required by state and federal law and regulations.

  • We will make sure to have management or designated staff available for customers to talk with if they feel unsafe or have any concerns about their health and safety while at our business.
